Some advice on dealing with writers block.....
.....In relation to coming up with ideas, you need to actively have a process for finding ideas, don't sit around and wait for them to appear. And when you first find a potential story/idea write it down. Don't be critical at this stage, don't judge or evaluate your ideas just write them down and they will keep coming.
.....and in respect to writing the first draft of a script, you have to keep writing once you've started. As before, don't be critical of what you've written during the first draft, just write and write and get it written. It's better and easier to go back and rework parts of a completed script than one that's half finished because you'll write around in circles and get sick of it.

If i'm stuck for ideas i just watch as many films as i can. This usually kickstarts my imagination. And before anyone says, it doesn't make me just copy the ideas i've seen in the films. Reading books also helps because this forces you to use your imagination to picture the scenes in the book.
Good luck!

I find the best idea is to sit in McDonalds (with a cup of coffee, so they don't throw me out) and listen to the conversations around me.
You often get some bizarre scenes played out before your very eyes...

"There's no such thing as writer's black. You just don't have an imagination."
I forgot where that's from.

Wacky suggestions follow:
Brainstorm by writing all kinds of crap out of your head for 1 minute (great when it works)
Train passengers make good viewing
Write a screenplay about a screenwriter with writers block!
Write down an event from your life
Write down some interesting nouns on bits of paper and throw them in the air. pick them up and read them in random order
cheers

A good way to overcome writers block is to continue writing even though you are having trouble thinking up new ideas. i know it sounds like an unthordox method but belive me , if you take a break from writing , your determination to get the project finished will die down.

guaranteed block fix:
I recommend you get on board a bus to somewhere you've never been before but sounds interesting and take a notebook. Get wasted on whatever your favourite poison is with strangers and new friends. Hitch hike home. Follow your instincts. Make notes, jot down anything and everything.
When you get back in a weeks time with the mutha of all hangovers you can compile these notes together.
